A wedding is the most important day in the life of a young woman and I am no exception. Having dreamed of a fairy tale wedding all my life, where I wed my prince charming in a Cinderella like castle, with him looking handsome in a white tux and my entire family watching with tears of joy in their eyes, you can quite imagine that I definitely do not need a wedding planner. However, I must say that the fairy tale quality and theme have quite vanished from my thoughts of a perfect wedding. Having said that, I must add that I have quite a few ideas of my own that I feel I should implement.

This is a day that is very important for me and my groom to be and it should be a perfect reflection of our personalities and love. I keep frequenting the crafts section of various departmental stores for ideas on making this day super special, after all whether I cherish it or the memories haunt me largely depend on the success or failure of my ideas.

I am not a traditional person and do not wear dresses and nothing in white, so picking a dress for my wedding is quite a challenge. My friends have asked me to visit David’s Bridal in Chattanooga Tennessee as it has the most beautiful yet affordable gowns. People have never seen me in a dress and I am sure my wedding day will be quite a shocker for everyone, who will see a completely new me, including my fiancé, who I am sure will have a heart attack on seeing me.

Wedding accessories are very important to me and I am very choosy about them. My wedding colors are red and white and I am planning to buy my flowers holder from Wal-Mart and pick up a few red roses from the florist to place in the holder. While the last time or perhaps the only time I arranged flowers was at my grandmother’s, when I arranged some dandelions that I had picked from her garden, the prospect of arranging my own bouquet excites me tremendously and I am sure that I will be able to do it.

Cake, however, is a completely different story and while I would love to do everything on my own, I have to admit that I cannot bake a cake, much less decorate it. On the other hand, my perfect cake is a multi tiered one with red roses in frosting and these are very expensive. However, I discovered after some research that some of the neighborhood confectioners rent you the wedding cake and this works out lot cheaper than making or buying one!
